Housing Programs


Campesinos Sin Fronteras’ Home-Ownership Counseling Program:
Supported By: Rural Community Assistance Council (RCAC)

The Homeownership Counseling Program objective is to provide general education for first time home buyers.  The main purpose of the Homeownership Counseling Program is to help the community overcome the economical and personal barriers of purchasing their most valuable asset: Their own Home! We also provide counseling in: Predatory Lending, Identity Theft, Budget, Credit and Home Maintenance, Foreclosure Prevention, and Social Security Track. We are a HUD certified housing counseling agency since 2003.


Self-Help Housing Rehabilitation Program:
Supported By: United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)

With this program Campesinos Sin Fronteras helps low and very low income families with all paper work needed to apply for grants and loans from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to rehabilitate their homes. With this grant we can only repair health and safety issues on the house, this grant are not used to do any remodeling on the house. CSF has this program since 2003. Our current grant ends on March 31, 2010.
Grants available:
306C Grant:  Used only to fix plumbing in and out of the house. Up to $5,000.00.
504 Grant:  Used to do general repairs to the house. Up to $7,500.00.
504 Loan:  Used to do general repairs or to add a room to the house. Up to $20,000.00 with 1% interest payable in 20 years.
502 Loan:  With this loan we have to bring the entire house up to code and the amount can be up to 172,000.00 payable in 30 years.


Owner-Occupied Housing Emergency Repairs Program (OOHERP):
Supported By: Arizona Department of Housing (ADOH)

With this program Campesinos Sin Fronteras helps low and very low income families under these categories: families with disabilities, elderly families 62 years and older and families with children less than 18 years of age to repair any housing emergencies. Funds available through this program are from $1,000.00 to $10,000.00 (maximum). CSF started this program on December 01, 2008 and will end December 31, 2010.


WACOG-Energy Assistance Program:

With this program CSF assist families with the application process to get their electricity bill paid by Western Arizona Council of Government (WACOG). CSF has had this program for two years now.
